Tony, by Friday or Monday we'll get another [probably lower] semi equipment orders/btb release - the number for March. The semi equips may shrug it off - or not.

Tony, it was the analysts that insisted that this number was not realistic. Historically, I place more confidence in what a company says that what analysts predict. When is the last time you heard of an analyst being sued for a bad prediction?. But in the Old Testament analysts made predictions infrequently and carefully. I think that we all miss the good ol' days.

"Amazing how that one item, Intel's Capex budget for this year, seems to hold up the entire semi equip sector".

Equally amazing that a single remark from Intel's CFO that things "may" stabilize in the 2nd Q can cause instant melt up of every stock exchange in the world.

Especially given Intel's past history of maximal positive spin on every aspect of their business.
