We need UNIFORM MANDATORY ways for companies to report earnings. If you believe that the current way of reporting earnings creates inefficiencies....it can only help you in your trading/investing. As long as all of the information is available to get to the essence of the earning report, you should benefit from the fact that everybody else is going the wrong way. 3) No xyz reports 100,000 new customers. Also...for certain companies (say Sprint PCS) customer additions is MORE important to me than income from operations. Again, if you think differently you should be able to profit from that.... Slacker
