Here's an interesting take on RFMD from Tero Kuittnen at TheStreet.com

RFMD conference call yesterday was quite positive. However – as far as I know, the company’s revenue increase guidance for the next quarter is based on winning new Nokia orders. Last year, the company apparently lost early 8200 series component business to Hitachi after dominating the North American 6100 series orders from Nokia. Now RFMD has landed new orders from Nokia and reversed component order losses to Asian rivals. This is a good development for the firm – and landing new Siemens orders is certainly a big plus considering the Siemens break-through orders from AT&T and Cingular. However – these are market share shifts within the phone component business. I don’t think these RFMD victories tell much about the overall industry trend.
