Do you know that some people actually DO believe in the badness of all people?>> What I think and believe doesn't matter. Ask yourself. >>I agree with you Frederick--that your dentity/ego/conception of SELF as separate from ALL--is indeed temporary, and will in time be merged with energy.>> That's fine. But you don't need to "agree" with me. This is personal to each of us. >>Your desire to obliterate the ego will occur without such strenuous effort on your part. While on this planet, at this time--why not affirm and honor the ego/self? You have forever to be everything; You have only now to be YOU.>> It's impossible to honor an illusion based on a delusion which is centered on a lie which began as a little seed of doubt thousands of years ago. Our "world" as we know it is based on this illusion. The separation from God, our maker, along with the direct ties to our core spiritual nature does not have to continue. Keep in mind that our spirituality can take one of only TWO (2) forms: dark or light. We worship and mirror that which we love. If we love "self-EGO" we will worship/love darkness and elevate death as the capstone around which we shroud all mystery, religion and things unseen. If we love Jesus as Lord our God we will worship our spiritual heritage of light, energy and love which connects us on a never-ending continuum which brings the Kingdom of heaven into this realm of nature. Death was defeated 2000+ years ago. If you don't believe this then what are you waiting for to "believe" and have faith in? Either this event happened or it didn't. Either the Light of God's Love shown brightly into this dark world or it didn't. Either the fear of death was defeated or it wasn't. Either we are all tied together as ONE or we aren't. Either there is ONE God or there isn't. And if there isn't ONE God, then there are multiple God's which we can invent and change ad hoc as time rolls on, etc. What is time anyway? Time as we "know it" can only exist if we separate ourselves from the eternity of the present and decide to live either 1) in thought/consideration or guilt over the past; or 2) in thought/consideration or fear over what could happen to us in the future. One great quote from these sources was passed along to me: "Time is the brief interlude between illusion and reality." So, in essence, since time is only just relative and "conditonal to" something else, namely the reality of the present, when we live in time we are really separating from the present. And separating from the present can only be done if we are somehow in opposition to - overtly or through a misunderstanding - of what the reality of the present really consists of. Given the fallen, dark nature of our world in general, a simple argument can be made that individuals really don't understand what unconditional love is - what's it's about, does it exist, how it can exist. If we remain in the shadows and darkness of time we can begin to believe that what is false is true, what is dark is light, what is conditional is not conditional. How many years did the Roman Catholic church attempt to withold the truth behind the Bible from the masses? It took Martin Luther and the reformers along with Gutenbury's priting press just to get the word out. And I'm not saying anything about what has been done to the Word through the centuries. But the truth eventually does "get out." This is the nature of ALL light and truth. There is absolutely nothing we can do to hide from the truth. It frees us all. And the more we embrace it, the more we embrace light, energy, understanding, forgiveness and Love which comes in the wake of this revelation. And where does all this light, energy and Love come from? Not from me or you, but from God Himself. We are simply inert conduits. And we are either used by the forces of darkness or light. And yes we still have a FREE WILL. It's up to each of us just what we decide to conjoin with and worship: light or darkness. Are we giving or taking? Are we serving ourselves or others? Pretty simple. And there's nothing "strenuous" about any of this. For this isn't "me", Frederick Smart. I have nothing to do with this. I consign myself to being simply a passenger celebrating His light, energy and Love. And He is simply using me for His purposes. Either it's that way or the dark way. For when we serve ourselves we are part of the opposition to all that is light, truth and love. Nothing to get all humg up about. Again, pretty simple and entirely personal in nature to each one of us. Nothing I say or do should be taken as being a proscription for how others should think or act, etc. That's up to each individual and His/Her maker through a personal relationship with God. Thanks Solon. Hope all is well. Peace. Light! ONE! GO!!
