I'm assuming that something in Windows is locking the disk, and that if it finds the disk unlocked, it will re-establish the lock. As you say, we'll know in time.

P.S. I'm still wondering why clicking the DOS icon will cause the screen to go blank. So blank a re-boot is requried. Has anyone made any progress on this?

Wish I knew enough to comment on anything regarding dos but I don't. Only semi-familiar with a few of the things you have graciously posted on this thread.

Same thing, big black, blank screen.
