I beg to differ. I think Scumbria is quite bright. If I am right about this it makes his disinformation campaign something akin to what James Carville tries to do. Who needs such garbage? I say - put him on ignore.

Perhaps your analysis needs to go a little deeper?

A few weeks before the 1980 election, Carter was ahead in the polls. The Iran hostage situation dragged him down over the last couple of weeks.

Had the hostages returned, he would have easily won.
