I really don't want Carl terminated forever. He does add, in my view, a lot of good data to the debate. At times his arrogance and preaching to the "unwashed mom and pops" is very, very tiresome and takes away from the value of his knowledge and his research. Still, in my view he does not like to debate if he is not in control. At that point he has a tendency to insult or stretch the borders of truth to keep control. Satire has a place, but not every reader is sophisticated or has time to read all posts. If someone forwards a post or copies it to a different thread without all the other context (the key concept here) real harm could occur. We all need to know where the lines could exist, which is why we us the <vbg>, etc. to keep a framework around an empirical set of words. If Carl does return he should apologize (he was not in international air space when he bumped some people) and everyone else should realize how he plays the game.
