As to question 1, I come back to the elephant. Yes, I think they're all dealing with the same God, only different aspects of it. After all, those who might worship flowers (nature), those who might worship the Sun (Egyptians) those who worship asteroids (forget their name, the California cult), and those who might worship back holes (not there yet, but can't be long) would all describe the characteristics of their gods VERY differently, but they are all worshipping parts of the same universe.

If you want to take the Quaker view that there that of God in every person, then, yes, God is a pygmy and a norseman and Mary and Jesus and, yes, you and me.

In which case, the fact that you exist proves that God exists.

As to agreement on Caesar, hah.
