While the momentum is obviously in the bullish camp, the extensive
advance today (9.5%) and off the April low (30%) and the somewhat overbought indicators
raise some very short term concerns about a temporary pause. Keep in mind that when the
Fed surprised the market on January 3 the Nasdaq surged on the day of the cut and part of the
next but in the 3 sessions following the move the index dropped 13% on an intraday basis.
Further out the aggressive pattern that has developed this month and the bullish long term
indicators suggest that the focus should remain on the upside.
