So what's your point ?

I see energy prices in general continuing upwards. What affect did it have on over all inflation or the persistence of inflation to date ? Zippo !

Yes, but there's also a limitation on worldwide tanker capacity...those can't be built in less than 2 years, and 2 or 3 more VLCC's cracked up during the last year. What good is refining capacity in Asia to the U.S. if they have no way of getting product here.

The energy crisis is just starting...if we don't have a recession yet, it will put us in one by the 4th quarter, and rate cuts only make the energy problem worse.
