Seems you can never find a fed chairman when you need one..and then when you don't need one.....

shorted amat this a.m...hmmm...20 minutes before the rate cut?..curses....had to do it again late in the day just to break even...Doing the same late in the day with Nvidia, which was traipsing in the stratosphere helped.

The "finally not so bad news" call from intel and the greenspan effect is a lot to absorb in one day, but it sure tried. This clearly helps firm up the bottom and will help allay some (some) of the concerns on consumer spending which is one of the other shoes.

Still remaining nimble on dips and spikes....but definitely exhibiting schizophrenic emotions on my tech covered calls which WERE safely out of the money when I woke up this morning. They are all May's and I intend to let them sit a bit rather than roll up yet. It was interesting to see that the call premiums of some I looked at today were not moving up in relationship to the underlying stocks. Would mean the derivitives market is thinking a lot of the next month's move was already happening today.
