Perhaps, had the bar been evenly raised for everyone, a lot of good may have resulted from the newer technologies that would have sprouted.

I haven't looked closely enough at Kyoto to appreciate the intricacies of the negotiations and if it was inevitable that it end up where it did. But my sense all along was that the distribution was wrong headed. I thought they got off track in Rio and then there was no way to recover. Shame.

I've seen studies that support both sides of the argument.

I have as well.

If things are still very uncertain I don't think it is a good idea to commit to a treaty that will cost trillions of dollars.
