Maybe the FED is feeling pressure from Europe and Asia behind the scenes. Not only did they tube our one remaining engine of growth, technology, but our economy is effecting the rest of the world which was never that great to begin with. We're at 0% growth now and most companies are warning of lower future earnings and revenues. Foretells negative GDP growth for second quarter 01. Manufacturing is in recession/depression. Consumer confidence sucks. Unemployment rate remains low, but the jobs that are lost don't get replaced by jobs with equal pay and benefits for the most part. Statistical manipulation by government is being figured out by the 20% of literate Americans who give 2 shits about what is happening. Japan is on the brink of failure once they write off bad debts. He is late as he has been this entire last year. Hopefully, the downturn ends by the end of the year.
