Hi!!

RE: come on Mr. G. you're selling your company's vision through your earnings statement. you're good for many things Mr. G, but not for your PC vision

if IBM's PC division grew YOY...where is Dell?

"CONSOLIDATION"....or When do we give it up?...

It's no secret when you live in the middle of IBM and have taught and known literally a couple hundred that have worked there or are working there now...From what I gather there is a great deal of static coming from different levels of management directed at LG...The "younger level" wants PC's gone; where the "old guard" wishes to resuscitate this dying segment of their business...I certainly have to appreciate the honesty of those I know who work on the lines there...The storage units that they knocked out prior to the end of the last quarter was staggering..."Lobster and steak or anything we wanted just to get the numbers out for what we had promised"...But, the PC division is something that even though it has been "copying DELL methods that just don't seem to work"..."Well, Kemble we'll never make it"..."We'd be far better off pushing the business to DELL and getting on with what we do the best"...
I could go on and on...Athletic contests prompt a great deal of chatter... :o)

Best, kemble

RE:G-He has always been just a cheerleader-"it's what he brings to the party"-IBM was built years ago by a different breed of people and in recent decades just rides along on it's core services and long term contacts (doesn't need a CEO/probably-especially one who keeps getting options for doing very little)-DELL is a whole different ball game.
