This bear just took a shot in the hindquarters and is hobbling badly. Greenie is betting that improvements in business fundamentals will begin to appear later in the year, and that banks will be inclined to participate. I wouldn't bet against that. There is more work to be done on turning psychology around, but, yes, this is how it's done. It doesn't matter to me whether the market is down 100 points tommorow. May well happen. But this was big today. A big, bold step was exactly what we needed. PB
