Roebear; re: the Gold Carry Trade shorts...

You ever think that perhaps they should buy the $hit out of Gold Mining Stocks before they begin to unwind their bullion shorts ? - it would be a levered-hedge as they unwind...or; just buy one,or two of the large unhedged producers here at the bottom & then just forward sell all their production and reserves to cover (VBG) ?

Roebear:

I do like the PM stock action. But long experience has convinced me that trying to time a big gold move is impossible. You have to buy at a reasonable price and hold on.

I have been out of oil and oil service for some time. This morning I was long QQQ, emerging market funds, and gold funds. Note that these share one thing in common -- namely all are grossly depressed like the OSX was at 50. Sold QQQ today but holding on to emerging markets and adding to gold fund holdings.
