Only a rigid dogmatic person would reject categorically the possibility of God and believe at the same time that if there was a God they could know the mind of God.

I didn't say there was a reasonable explanation of the Virgin Birth. I said that it doesn't make much sense to seek a natural explanation so improbable that you turn around and reject it as less likely than fabrication. In that case, you haven't exactly moved the ball forward in evaluating the claim of the miraculous. As for what I desire, it does not, in fact, matter one way or the other to me.
