laura very sorry to learn of your troubles with rebuilding the netscape registry. "now I've lost my addresss book. (do you know if it is hidden in the "dark depths" of netscape or do i have to renter them all over again?( please God, I hope not) I would love to get all my old e-mail files back also but don't know where to look." if you followed the instructions carefully, then you backed up the netscape users folder. that contains your address book (filename is pab.na2, i think). you can just replace the new users folder with the old one and should be back in business. unless there is a while lot more going on here than we realize. here's hoping you did the backup :) mark
