John, this is Bugos's web site: safehaven.com i didn't know Barton was a hedge fund manager in the 60's...not sure what he thinks about Japan right now...but here's an interesting tidbit: Japanese Banks 'distressed loans' are now estimated to top 1 trillion dollars (by their own government), although only a fraction thereof is actually officially declared 'bad' on their books. the number seems to grow every time someone takes a closer look...it's an incredible mess. ap.tbo.com
