With Sony? But wasn't it with a Taiwanese company? This news means they did nothing since the 'dog ate the homework' time. I can recall that when they blamed the fire at Philips supplier as the cause for losses in mobile division, they danced around an idea of cooperating with Taiwanese concerns. Now this one with Sony.

Well, these guys haven't been punished enough.

The group has launched a range of measures to improve performance, including switching production from Sweden and the US to lower-cost countries in Latin America and eastern Europe. It has already outsourced some low-end production and concentrated on fewer models. January 25 2001
