Ian, this is futile but here goes: counting the number of stocks having buy signals is a mechanical exercise, requiring no judgement. When the number exceeds the previous peak by 2% you have a 'bull confirmed' status. This is no different than saying a stock price has exceeded a previous high and taking that as a buy signal. You don't get the gains from the bottom, of course. But you are more certain the bear is in hibernation. Ask Jacob, since he's practically your neighbor. :)
