Ian, I understand what you're saying. >waiting for it to climb 20%-40%, just to avoid a temporary, possible 10% loss< It can be 20-30%, but in the case of AMAT even that is bearable because we know what drives it and how it behaves LT. Also, the Pnf method is used by traders a lot and they often do little FA. Some adherents I know pick Value Line 1s and 2s and that is the extent of their FA. They use PnF for entry and exit determination. I'll let you know when the bull is confirmed, though. Hint: when there's an X at 50. Gottfried
