"Rapist" is not vaguely critical. It's a smear tactic rumor along the lines of Bush the "abortionist" or "cokehead". Who cares if Bush did coke in the 80s like everyone else? If he does a good job I'd commend him. If not I don't care if he never got laid or high in his life. Who cares what these people did once upon a time behind closed doors and who are you to judge? Bush is an admitted ex alchie for Christ's sake and you go passing judgement on Clinton? I'm just sick to death of the whole dirty poltical smearing. "Oxy Al" and "Buddhist Temple Al". When Bush's soft money from the oil companies would let them run the DC if it weren't for public opinion and a few moderate eco-concerned Senators. Just give it a break. Clinton did a great job despite being dogged for eight years by Kenneth Starr and cadre of right-wing enemies funding smear campaigns. Whiteater was a 100 million dollar booddoggle which turned up nothing but one BJ. I could have told you Clinton got laid for free. I've heard he's done Sharon Stone, Jessica Parker, Streisand (okay his taste ain't always great) and more. So what? I'm sure they're the ones who hit on him. And from what I understand his marriage fell apart 15 years ago and they agreed to stay together as an arrangement, for political reasons and also for their kid. I know lots of couples like that. Doesn't surprise me. And don't tell me Pat Nixon or Betty Ford were happy women. It's tough being the wife of a bigshot politician, especially a good-looking one. At least they stuck together unlike Dole and Reagan with thei first marriages. And Bush Sr. had a girlfriend at one point too. Whatever. So long as they do a good job. It's the issues I care about. Those really affect us. Their sex lives don't.
