I certainly haven't read four of Schumpeter's books, just excerpts and commentary on the Internet. He's got a big following, but he doesn't interest me. Business cycles don't interest me, economic evolution doesn't interest me. I am not interested in grand unified views of anything. It's just the way my mind works.
