HENDERSON, Nev., Apr 19, 2001 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Valence Technology,
Inc. (Nasdaq: VLNC), a leader in the development and commercialization of
lithium- ion polymer rechargeable batteries, today announced that it has
received orders from two new customers for its recently launched Model C59
batteries. The batteries, which are ideal for use in low profile, high-energy,
wireless devices, will be used to power PDAs and wireless modems. Due to
competitive reasons, the names of the two customers were not disclosed.
