s_c, it already is. my at-home cable internet connection costs $39.95/month. This is less than what I used to pay for a dedicated phone line and unlimited internet service at 56Kb.

This is my point. $39.95 is close to the $49.95 in this area.

"The cable company usually waives the cost of equip and installation if you sign a contract." For equipment, do you mean for video conferencing or just setting up the computer connection -- I use roadrunner and have not been doing home vieo conferencing, but it sounds like a good idea. TIA. By the way, nice "melt-up" in the market. Feels good to be long.
