Thanks for posting that Dale.. I think if you have the guts to short like I do, Semis is the place to do it.. I 100% absolutely do not see any single reason to buy these stocks now. Even what little optimism intel offered was simply because they left such a wide range to miss/hit/exceed, and I doubt they have any clue as to what next quarter will bring. Intel has a habbit of doing that when they report lousy numbers.. MU is a better short than AMAT, but my favorite short is CCMP.. This is just pure short covering..

One last thing- all the contacts I have in the retail business are telling me that so far, April is by and large THE worse month they have had during this entire downturn. This is across the board, wether its servers or mom and pop buying a pc.. I firmly believe that the last 2 months wasnt quite as bad as it could have been simply because prices plunged to boost some demand. Now thats not working, an the prices on sdram had eroded back to the lows we saw a month earlier. Flash memory prices got sliced, and its still not moving. This quarter will be a disaster. If the TA disagrees and the semis push higher ill cover and admitt that possibly the market knows something I do.. but for now, I think its pure short covering and we will see new lows real soon.. -- I think the semis will trade out of sync with the rest of the market by the way.. Im not soo bearish on the rest of techs, just the semis..
