why is a reinstall of ME painful? I didn't do it by myself, a friend was here. Might I, do you think, now that you comprehend the full degree of my cluelessness, which I do believe is less a less full degree than it was before all this, have trouble doing an ME reinstall? What a long sentence. E I have the full Win ME version on my system and to reinstall all I do is put the disk in and follow a few simple onscreen instructions. There is no uninstall involved as it reinstalls right over the top and saves all your present individual settings. It takes about 35 minutes. If you can play a CD you can reinstall ME.:) Ed
