The next few quarters maybe brutal. Intel is going the way of Xerox and they will be burning cash like mad subsidizing P4 and trying to hold on to market share. Coupled with the communications ICs meltdown this may eliminate profits for both companies for the next year or so.

Also, the world economy is quickly grinding to a halt and if it does, all bets are off.
