My, my, what a concise compilation of big words there, Neocon. God exists because of some "resonant" phenomenon of your own invention is quite a compelling argument. As for snideness, in the crowd you run with I think that would be about the mildest form of discourtesy to be found. Of course, you can float above it all, secure in the knowledge that somebody will be there to do your dirty work for you, after which you can chime in with your own "courteous" comments, with never, ever, a hint of snideness.

I don't think it resonates. Lots of people don't think it resonates. I don't see how you can know what resonates "in the world." You can know it resonates for you. You can believe people when they tell you it resonates for them. But I hope you believe people who tell you it does not resonate. I am in the world. My family is in the world. My parents were in the world. And for us there is no resonance. I come from a whole tribe of non-resonators. And purpose? Other than the purpose we make up for ourselves I see little purpose outside of the laws of matter and energy (if you want to call their organizing principles purpose). Which have a purpose I do not understand (again, if they are purposeful at all). So their purpose doesn't matter to me in my microcosm.

So your idea resonates in the people who want it to resonate and is antithetical to the people who find it antithetical. It is like any other unprovable belief. Believed by it's adherents.
