The problem now becomes one of losing work, settings, drivers, downloads, favourites, and patches. PW Win ME saves the personal settings and overwrites the files. Reinstalling ME is not even close to being like 98.MS made it so much simpler. It also has a System Restore feature that allows a user to pick a prior date when the system was functioning properly and restore it to that state.Process takes 5-7 minutes. One can also create restore points.I do that whenever I make a change and log it by number. Ed
