Agree the card companies are incompetent. I send in those 0% interest rate offers all the time, max it out on a interest free loan then put it in my Market Fund. A month before they expire and want to start collecting interest, I pay it off in full. Soon as I pay it off, I cancel the card and move to the next one.

Not ONE of them has figured it out yet. Just received my third 0% COF card offer a couple days ago. Guess they are going to win the lucky lottery for this period. -g-

One other good one I had happen, I also have an old card I forgot to cancel from when I did this a year or so ago. I haven't used it since I scammed them back then. Instead of them cancelling for inactivity, they have been raising my limit every three months. If I am not using it, what can they be possibly thinking that would make them think I need a larger credit line? Now I am just holding it to see hwo high it will go. I figure if I really let it get up there, maybe I can threaten to cancel and they will let me double tap the same card interest free for a year. -NG-

I can't wait to get my next full year offer, the COF one was only until November. 5% risk free spread is OK I guess for all the work it takes to put a stamp on it. <ggg>

Good Luck,

Lee
