conversely how many who advocated shorting the market since 97 or 98, missed a huge run up.....you have to be flexible, and resolve yourself to be satisfied with what you have, not what you could of had.......

Well, it could be argued that somebody who didn't short or sell in March 2000 missed loads of profit.

It's a two way street. You're acting like the move from 1998 was rational while the bears argue that the move was purely liquidity based, and quite frankly, a once in a lifetime move.

In short, LUCKY.
