skeeter...it's all relative, should you choose to live in the bay area, then that is the price you must pay....and if you pay it, you should have the capacity to afford same....

i used the word realism, not fantasy...if one makes decisions based on fantasy, they will never realize success, unless it's by pure luck....

you understand the risk/reward in investing....risk/reward in life is no different, in fact it tends to skew more toward reward when you are dealing with a tangible...especially one that you have some semblance of control over...such as shelter and employment...

if reality is bad, then the individual has the ability to attempt to make it better....success is built upon such foundations....but never upon the perception that things will get much worse.....in essence you can accept your plight or attempt a change.....nothing ventured, nothing gained....
