It depends what you mean. We are part of the universe and we are not indifferent to each other. I see no evidence that things off this planet have much interest in us (which is a very good thing, imo). But we do create at least our own reality in which we are interested in ourselves. With that proviso I might agree with you. Or I might not. Depending upon what you meant.
