yes, because you have not been trying speed disk repeatedly after running ndd in DOS. in fact, you ran the windoze version of defrag, if i read you right.

i recommend that you do this just to be sure, and because it is never a bad idea nor waste of time to try something more than once. (in fact, many times trying the exact same thing a second time will produce positive results.)

plus, in this instance, you will not be trying the exact same thing.... you'll run ndd in normal mode instead of thorough and you'll run norton speed disk afterwards instead of windoze defrag.
