Option expiration Fridays and the following week tend to have some down bias, as I recall, so you may be right. I think this could go as high as 2310 COMPX and 1280 SPX, measuring yesterday's breakouts...

Nortel Networks (NT) 17.80 +0.35: Reports Q1 loss of $0.12 a share, in line with the First Call consensus of ($0.12) and at the low end of the guidance range that called for a loss of $0.10-0.12. Revenues of $6.18 bln were in line with guidance of $6.1-6.2 bln. Company expects that capital spending will continue to be constrained and will not provide guidance for next quarter or the year as a result.

PMC-Sierra (PMCS) : Posts Q1 net of $0.02 a share, in line with consensus; no guidance offered.
