Good grief - you didn't have to list the link to the Morgan Stanley Global Economics *TWICE* did you? I'll forgive you - they're from two different SI threads, aren't they?

Frankly, I'm so sick and tired of Steven Roach's cockroach-like "crawl on your belly" bearishness. I have his words crammed down my throat on a weekly basis through three different media: on my Bloomberg terminal, on my weekly MSDW US Strategy report, and on my MSDW Client Link on my web browser. Occasionally, I even hear him in person during his visits to Hong Kong...

There is no shortage of gloom-and-doom out there, in fact, that's all we've been hearing about!

I'm sure in your long years of experience (and wisdom) you've heard of the old adage - buy when the blood is on the streets (implying that equities are great investments during the bottom of the economic cycle)?

And BTW, unlike one of the authors of the articles in the links you've listed, I'm a big fan of Jonathan Joseph, the gutsy contrarian semiconductor analyst...
