Of course Jefferson’s behavior was not “OK.” But it is certainly more understandable than Bill Clinton’s behavior. The circumstances between Jefferson and Clinton are completely different. Two great difference are that Clinton committed his sleaziness in the White House, and that when he was asked about his behavior during the discovery phase of a legal proceeding, he flatly lied. Jefferson was never accused of such things.
