B.REVERE: good observations and I agree. But those MMF are deceiving. The highest concentration of wealth is in the hands of the upper tier earners so they are quite capable of pumping a few billion into the market via hedge funds and money managers if they get the green light to do so. The average J6P as you point out has a pittance of discretionary cash to put in the market even he/she even cares to do so. Jack Welch/GE said barely a week ago that the employment numbers are not yet reflecting all the layoffs that corporate America has pre-announced. So you are also quite right on that count.
