Another ironic reason why we won't have the proverbial bubble-burst is that workers that get laid-off and must move and sell their homes can buy a cheaper home and rake in a tidy profit on their current bubble-priced home allowing them yet another opportunity to pour that $ into consumption. The only thing standing in the way of that is the desire to at least make a lateral move in price bracket if not a step up.
