VDXXX yearly expenses. Year ending 4/8/01.

26 transactions times $10 each = $260.
Avg Daily Margin Balance $45617.25 times 7% = $3119.71.
Total $260.00 plus $3119.71 = $3379.70.

Expenses will show up on tomorrow's post.

Another fine year!! cheers, C1.

Vector1,

You used to think highly of AFFX. If memory serves the model used to own it, and sold it for a tidy gain last year. In the face of standardization issues in the biochip marketplace, a swarm of little competitors, and errors in the murine arrays, AFFX has swooned.

Message 15719744

I feel that in the tools industry consumables are still OK, but big ticket items are iffy for a few quarters, with the exception of mass spectrometers. AFFX's products aren't big ticket items individually, but regular use would be equivalent.

I submit most of this is priced in, and that AFFX is a buy should it retest its lows (expecting broad market pullback before end of spring). Do you and/or your audience have any thoughts on this wounded gorilla?

Cheers, Tuck
