since email is a prime use, I think that many folks write their emails, then dial up, send them all, and log off. I used to have only dial up and I would not use the internet until 9:00 or later. The likelihood of someone calling us after 9:00 / 930 pm is quite low. Victor, It seems to me that most people in my area use dedicated phone lines meaning a separate line. This is not a scientific stucy. Just an observation from what the people I know do. The cables access here is not available to the masses. That will change when their system is upgraded but currently they are not adding anymore connections. The only other local option is DSL and I do not believe it is selling well. <<I spend $1000/month on long distance. I would like to save on that. >> Glenn you've got to knock it off with those 1-900 calls.... <gg> I tried the pornography on the web but with only 5 mbps throughput, it was not adequate for this young man. Seriously, the $1000 per month is far lower that what it was five years ago.
