ha! that's true.

But it's good to keep prespective, something that's not always easy.

In early 1990s I was a compuserve user. There were many very smart and experienced people there, as on SI. And only real names were allowed as handles. And I began to feel like I 'knew' many of them. Then at one point one guy pretty suddenly stopped posting. I soon learned he had gone into a coma and the prognosis was not good. He had two young boys and was active in his church and boy scouts.

Some time later another guy, who was thread moderater, also stopped posting. This guy had stopped on the highway to help someone who was having car trouble. He was hit by a passing truck and killed.

there really weren't more than 30 or 40 regular posters on the threads I was on and I started to think the threads were cursed!
