if gdr calls this one correctly, he be da man!

If I am correct, may I have one of those stick on gold stars they use to use in school?

but i don't see the company being so stupid as to bury itself - game over style - in 6 to 9 months.

I saw the days where analysts and Bezos would state Amazon could turn a profit if they wanted to. However, Amazon was after market share so making a profit was not necessary at the time. Now I hear Bezos stating Amazon is focused on making a profit and the best he wants anyone to expect is "proforma profit" in Q4 2001 only which is not a profit at all. What happens when the holiday season is over assuming they get though it?

This all must mean that Amazon could turn a profit whenever they wanted to in 1998 but today that is not the case? The difference is more DCs to handle the increased sales volume they so badly wanted.

Amazon is one of the worst run firms ever in my opinion and there has been no management changes to improve that. Bezos leaving might make me change my mind.

It might be wise if Bezos took a leave of absence, used a small part of that $100 million he sold in stock and went to grad school for an MBA. A good school may be able to teach him how to manage retailing but then he is still going to need experience.
