speaking of sandbagging:

i've heard about at least one company that is managing expectations.

to wit

it barely met 1st quarter estimates and is in fact postponing "accurate" income reporting until the 2nd quarter.

i have also heard that this company has already met 2nd quarter estimates.

furthermore, based on "income" reported for the first quarter, speculators are shorting this stock because, extrapolating from 1st quarter results, they "know" this stock will tank during the 2nd quarter.

ha

gives new meaning to the term royal flush

Feeling better about this year--or???

I do.

Unbelievably, in my now LEETLE TINY KEOGH I had done a buy-write on JDSU 5 weeks ago--at 28 or so. In cash otherwise in regular acct. Anyway, it was paying 10%. JDSU went down down down and I was disgusted and didn't even look. Now today I'm going to get called out probably, LOL, or at least keep my 10%--either way its close enough.

How weird the market can be. But I could not have stood those shenanigans in my regular acct. I do like JDSU tho and always did.

So wooly, are you feeling more optimystic?
