If the fed had acted sooner and not done the last two cuts, things would have much better imo. But the tech market kept soffing at hsi public commets, and at the rate hikes as well. So after a point, it must have been very dificult to hold back. He could have tightened up on margin rules. Margin played a huge role in the market and many to this day are shaking their heads wondering why he didn't shrink margin limits. The trouble was not in the econ it was in the tech stock market.
