I read an article saying that there are about 5m residential broadband users in the US today and that that number is expected to grow by about 95% over the next year. I don't know if you have different info but that seems like quite a fast rate of adoption. At that rate most net users should be broadband in 3 years.

I do not have any other sources of information. I do believe that adoption rate is too optimistic. I wish it was not.

Cheapos in most areas can go to their town libraries and use their broadband. I did that for a while until i capitulated and got cable !
