jri..."who will hold the debt" let me throw out a provocative thought..... "who will hold the debt.... does it really matter?" in essence what is the tangible reality of the debt...just new paper paying off old paper, sometimes writing off old failed paper....on and on and on..... is anything about global debt real? are we in a mode that debt will continue to increase ad infinitum? will the usa always be considered the global safe haven? humorous reading.... uta.edu your thoughts on this perverse concept are appreciated... ed a.
