08:35 ET Microsoft (MSFT) 68.04: -- Update -- Goldman Sachs upgrades to RECOMMENDED LIST from Mkt Outperform...Thomas Weisel upgrades to STRONG BUY from Mkt Perform. Goldman analyst calls MSFT a "Safe Harbor in Troubled Waters," says there is a good flow of upcoming new products.

08:18 ET Microsoft (MSFT) 68.04: -- Update -- CSFB says MSFT assumptions for PC unit growth going forward (7-8% in FY01, mid-high single digits in FY02) seem very conservative and suggests there could be significant upside once the market re-accelerates. Firm raises FY01 estimates to $25.2 bln and $1.80 (from $24.9 bln and $1.78) and FY02 to $28.2 bln and $1.94 (from $27.3 bln and $1.89) per management guidance. Maintains BUYand $75 target.
